How we engage

Four steps, in this order.

We do not start with recommendations. We start with what the estate actually does, then work outwards to a plan your team can run.

  1. 01

    Interviews and document review

We talk to the people who run the estate and read what already exists: runbooks, alert rules, change records, access reviews, backup jobs and test results.

    • Two to four interviews with the engineers on call
    • A review of the documents and records you already keep
    • A short list of open questions we cannot answer from what exists
  2. 02

    Gap diagnosis

Findings are sorted by operational impact and effort — not by how easy they are to put in a slide. Where a gap is contested internally, we say so and show what we saw.

    • A gap register with severity and evidence
    • The bottlenecks that cause repeated work
    • Explicit notes where evidence was missing
  3. 03

    Roadmap and priorities

We build a phased plan with owners, sequence and dependencies, sized against the team you actually have rather than an idealised one.

    • A phased roadmap with dependencies marked
    • An indication of effort and who needs to be involved
    • A short list of improvements that can start immediately
  4. 04

    Review and handover

We walk your team through the findings and the plan, adjust both with them, and hand over the written material. After that, the plan is yours.

    • A working session with the team that will run the plan
    • The revised roadmap in editable form
    • A written record of what was agreed and what was left open

Working with us

What we need from you

An assessment only works if it reaches the people who hold the operational knowledge. That is the one thing we cannot substitute.

  • Access to the engineers who run the estate, for a few hours in total
  • Whatever documentation and records already exist — even if incomplete
  • A named person to answer the open questions between sessions
  • Agreement on what may be shared, and how it is handled

Scope and stages

You can stop between stages

Diagnosis, roadmap and framework design are agreed as separate stages. Many clients take the assessment, act on it, and come back for the roadmap later. Nothing in our model requires you to book all of it up front.

We confirm scope and consultant time in writing before each stage starts, and quote in euro.

Questions we are asked

How long does an assessment take?
It depends on the size of the estate and how much documentation exists. We scope the number of interviews and workshops with you before starting.
Do you implement the improvements?
No. We advise and design; your team or your delivery partners implement and operate.

Start with an assessment.

Tell us the size of the estate and what hurts most. We will come back with a scope and a quote — fees are quoted on request, before anything starts.
